We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Admin and Retail Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support daily operations, assist customers, manage stock, and ensure the store runs smoothly. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service with professional phone etiquette
- Assist customers with product selections, product demos, and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Manage stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and inventory organization
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting products and engaging in retail math to meet sales goals
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about pet care items and accessories
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment to ensure an inviting shopping space
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in retail settings preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, upselling, and product demos to boost sales
- Familiarity with retail math for sales tracking and goal achievement
