What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal FULL/PART-Time Delivery Drivers position at Woody Warehouse Nursery, Inc.?
Wholesale Tree Nursery in Lizton, IN is expanding and looking for FULL-TIME Seasonal & PART-TIME Seasonal Drivers – Immediate Openings.
Hourly position. Hours vary by distance of deliveries and number of shipments. Must have reliable transportation to and from employer.
Experience required. Experience is necessary, a clean driving record is a MUST. MUST have experience_ pulling AND backing up _a 16' or 20' enclosed box trailer and possibly a gooseneck trailer with a regular pickup truck. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to unload trees if needed. Person(s) must be detail oriented, timely, able to read maps, be flexible and could be called in a 24-48 hours’ notice. Must be able to leave early, early mornings and drive throughout the day.
Some days are 12/14-hour days.
Responsibilities include but not limited to hooking up and unhooking trailer to truck, must be able to back trailer attached to a pick up truck up, sweeping out trailer after deliveries, keeping a daily logbook, refueling vehicle before and after a delivery, coordinating with shipping personnel daily. Must be proficient in Outlook. Preform complete truck and trailer inspections prior to and after deliveries.
We will need someone starting in February/March and August/September. Seasonal positions are typically 3 months in Spring and 3 months in Fall.
Pay starts at $20/hour. The ideal candidate would be someone retired and flexible with their days.
