FULL-TIME Shipping Manager

Wholesale Tree Nursery in Lizton, IN is looking for a FULL-TIME Shipping Manager – Immediate Opening.

Hourly position. 90 day probation period.

Experience required.

• 3 or more years’ experience in the horticulture industry

Responsibilities include but not limited to: ·

• Skilled in utilizing trucks and trailers including loading, unloading, navigation, and maintenance
• Promote innovation into shipping systems and procedures
• Manage 4-6 people in pulling & loading crew
• Possesses a friendly, professional personality, self-starter, and able to get information in a timely manner
• Highly efficient and organized. Must be able to handle multiple inputs daily.
• Assist in final quality control of product prior to loading communicating concerns to inventory manager and sales manager.
• Responsible for coordinating information between external (customers) and internal (sales, production,) individuals.
• Manage and audit driver logs
• Ensure weekly / monthly, annual maintenance and cleanliness of company equipment
• Asst ownership with development and implementation of various delivery methods including but not limited to corrugate, pallet racking, and carts
• Manage and report H2A pulling / loading KPIs
• Organize BoL for all outbound orders
• Ensure cleanliness of shipping areas
• Assist with local material pickups and deliveries on an as needed basis
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• reviewing, and implementing Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s).
