POSITION OVERVIEW
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient collection of residential, commercial, and/or industrial solid waste and recyclable materials along assigned routes. This position operates waste collection vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to providing excellent service to customers and the community. In addition to operating the vehicle, the driver will have additional tasks associated with waste collection and works closely with dispatch and team members to ensure daily goals are met.
This role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will be required to perform, but not limited to, the following:
- Safely operate a residential or commercial waste collection truck.
- Safely maneuver large trucks in residential or commercial areas.
- Service assigned collection routes and transport waste to disposal facilities efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide courteous customer service when interacting with residents and businesses.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, accidents, or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean truck interior and exterior.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with driving lows and DOT regulations
- Understanding of waste collection rotes and disposal procedures
- Occupational safety practices, including OSHA standards
- Ability to operate hydraulic controls and automated/manual collection equipment
- Ability to safely drive large commercial vehicles within residential, commercial and high traffic areas
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Must have DOT physical card
- Must be able to pass Federal DOT drug test
- Class B CDL license
- Good driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods of sitting while driving, regular walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing
- Regularly life and move containers and materials
- Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, odors, vibrations, moving mechanical equipment and other conditions associated with waste disposal
- Fast paced environment with emphasis on safety, efficiency, teamwork and customer service

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
