Role Description
A small original equipment manufacturer in East Rutherford New Jersey seeks an account manager.
Candidates must:
Be proficient with Sage Accounting program (Sage 50 or Sage 100 or Peachtree);
Be proficient in Microsoft/ Excel;
Be familiar with Journal Entries, ie depreciation/amortizations, loan/interest, recurring entries, payroll entries, adjusting entries, COGS / inventory etc.;
Be able to account for quarterly and year end financials ie P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance ;
Be able to handle all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ie Invoicing, receipts, vendor purchases, payments etc;
Be able to perform monthly bank reconciliation;
Report payroll to the payroll company on a biweekly basis and make appropriate entries; and
Should become familiar with the individual parts we purchase from vendors and be able to place orders for the same.
The job entails between 25 to 30 hours a week- some can become remote work over time once a candidate has familiarity with our business needs.
Salary competitive to the candidate’s experience.
Fluency in Spanish not necessary but a big plus.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Experienced Bookkeeper located in New York, NY. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing payroll. Additional tasks include reconciling bank statements, entering journal entries, and using accounting software to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bookkeeping, Financial Statements, and Journal Entries (Accounting)
- Experience with Accounting Software and Finance principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
