Description:
Head Tennis Coach in charge of the entire tennis program grades 9-12. Provide instruction to coaches and student athletes to develop skills and the ability to excel in the sport. Contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students in all areas of athletics so that they are successfully competitive.
Responsible to: Athletic Director, Administrators and Superintendent.
Payment rate: Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education, plus additional extra duty stipends.
Qualifications:
1.As set by the State of Oklahoma and the Board of Education.
- Experience as a Head Tennis Coach/Assistant Tennis Coach at High School level or above
- Oklahoma Teaching Certification
- Knowledge of completion of OSSAA and NFHS rules.
- Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries
- CDL with passenger and required endorsements
- Willingness to be a lifelong learner, attend clinics, expand knowledge of self and staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship.
- Take all steps to protect student athletes, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Monitor and enforce student eligibility and attendance.
- Evaluate coaching program and players and make changes based on findings for growth of the program.
- Complete and maintain overall inventories and maintenance/purchase of equipment.
- Establish and meet performance goals.
- Other duties and accountabilities consistent with the job may be assigned.
