Position Summary: The After School Care position involves caring for students after school hours, including developing and conducting activities, and supervising students, ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment.
Specific Duties Include:
- Supervise students in a child care environment, ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment
- Supervise and help students with homework
- Serve and clean up after snack
- Discipline children in activities as needed
- Receive and respond to written or verbal messages from parents
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for children by cleaning the facility, sanitizing
- surfaces, and putting toys and games away
- Other Duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to demonstrate patience and stay actively involved with young students
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing consisting of background check and pre-employment drug screen
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with children in a classroom environment preferred
The After School Care, Lower School position is a non-exempt, 10-month position. The hours for this position are 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
