Terminal Manager Job Description
Location: Port Arthur Terminal

FLSA Status: Exempt
The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within our Terminal facility and Vessel loading at the Woodville Pellets Port Arthur Terminal. In addition, this position supervises the terminal team and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role supports company objectives by ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective operational processes. This is a leadership role that requires daily coordination with the Woodville Mill team and direct supervision of terminal employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vessel Loading and Terminal Operations
- Maintain full operational responsibility for the terminal’s storage and loading infrastructure, including five silos and monthly vessel loading (~50,000 tons).
- Manage vessel scheduling, safety compliance, quality control, and loading documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the Port of Port Arthur, vessel agencies, and loading partners.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free terminal at all times.
- Operate or oversee operation of all terminal equipment, including forklifts, bobcats, and hoisting cranes.
- Enforce lockout/tagout procedures, confined space protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal safety laws.
Leadership and Supervision
- Lead a team of approximately 8 terminal employees, including terminal operators, mechanics and electricians.
- Conduct performance evaluations, assign responsibilities, and identify team training and development needs.
- Promote a safety-first culture in all aspects of terminal operations.
- Coordinate daily with Woodville Mill operations through virtual meetings (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
- Maintain orderly housekeeping of the terminal and ensure 24-hour operational readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 years of terminal operations experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Familiarity with maritime safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to operate or be trained to operate industrial equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily based at the Port Arthur Terminal, including indoor office and outdoor industrial environments.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, varying weather conditions, and heavy equipment operations.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
- Availability outside regular hours for emergency or unscheduled needs may be required.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
