Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items with precision and attention to detail
- Cook dishes according to established recipes, safety standards, and quality guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Assist with food presentation and garnishing to ensure visually appealing plates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment, such as restaurant or catering, is preferred
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food preparation
- Knowledge of safety standards in production and food handling practices
- Familiarity with culinary processes including cooking, meal preparation, and food safety management
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
