Job Summary
Woodstock Terrace is seeking an Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of residents in our Assisted Living Community. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for engaging older adults through meaningful and enjoyable activities. As an Activities Assistant, you will coordinate and facilitate a variety of recreational programs designed to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, with a focus on memory care, dementia care, and assisted living environments. The activities assistant is vital in fostering a vibrant, inclusive community where residents feel valued and supported.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and support residents’ personal goals.
- Facilitate group events such as arts and crafts, music therapy sessions, outings, and special celebrations that enhance community involvement.
- Must be able to drive residents in company vehicles.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during activities, encouraging participation and fostering positive relationships.
Skills
- Knowledge of assisted living environments or long-term care settings.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or memory impairments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently while balancing multiple activities throughout the day.

Requirements
