Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center seeks an experienced RN/LPN Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a skilled nursing unit. This position will supervise nursing staff, monitor patient care, and assist with patient transitions (admissions and discharges). Qualified candidates should possess extensive clinical skills and prior nurse management experience, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
This position is on night shift
Duties of Registered Nurse - RN Supervisor:
• Directs and assists in patient/resident care given by other nursing personnel.
• Supervises and assesses the competence and performance of nursing staff as related to position description,
standards of care and facility policies.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary care approach to patients/residents and families.
• Participates in the quality assessment and improvement process and activities.
• Organizes and acquires resources necessary for meeting the needs of the designated nursing unit.
• Initiates emergency support measures. (i.e., CPR, protects patients/residents from injury).
• Provides patient/resident/caregiver education as necessary
• Acts as a liaison to patients and families, addressing concerns and coordinating resources as needed.
• Provides case management by assisting with patient transitions (admissions and discharges). Ensures arrangements
within the center and with community resources to facilitate continuum of care for best patient outcomes.
• Maintains confidentiality and patient/resident rights, regarding all patient/resident/personnel information.
• Maintains knowledge of necessary documentation requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance and use, i.e. monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.
Requirements of Registered Nurse - RN Supervisor:
• Must hold valid GA RN License
• 2 years management experience (preferable)
• Computer skills
• Case management background a plus
• Excellent communication skills
