Woodstock Elementary School is seeking a 1.0 FTE Third Grade Teacher (long-term substitute) to join our talented and dedicated faculty for approximately six (6) months during the 2025–2026 school year.
Nestled in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont, our PreK–4 school serves about 250 students in a vibrant, supportive community. With the charm of a village setting and access to surrounding trails, WES cultivates compassionate, empowered learners through the use of PBIS, Second Step, and Responsive Classroom practices. We’re looking for a candidate who brings:

A Bachelor’s degree (minimum required).

Experience teaching elementary-aged children (third grade preferred).

A valid Vermont Professional Educator’s License or eligibility to obtain one.

Strong curriculum knowledge, excellent communication skills, and effective, practical pedagogy.

Familiarity with Fundations, Investigations, and structured literacy instruction (a plus).

A team-oriented, can-do attitude and the ability to connect meaningfully with students, families, and colleagues.
