What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Woodstock Club?
Private Indianapolis Country Club, established in 1915. We are looking for an experienced PM Sous Chef Duties will consist of assisting the culinary team with Daily Service, Menu and Feature Creation and assisting with Banquet prep when Necessary. We are a premier family club offering a wide variety of amenities. Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Assist with Banquets and Service.
- Prepare food for service
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow Chefs instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years previous cooking experience
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more
- Work in a fast-paced environment, have a sense of urgency.
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds
