We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical equipment, plumbing, and facilities equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment.
- Conduct repairs on electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC units, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Lead maintenance projects involving carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and other building interior repairs to enhance the hotel’s appearance and functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, schematics, and parts inventory related to facilities maintenance operations.
- Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with a customer service-oriented approach that prioritizes swift resolution and positive experiences.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, carpentry, welding, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with electrical equipment repair, schematics interpretation, use of hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance procedures including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and report on maintenance activities.
