Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our team at WoodSpring Suites Southington, a brand new extended stay hotel. The Hotel Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to sanitation standards, and excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and floor cleaning
- Sanitize bathrooms and replenish amenities to uphold hygiene standards
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and other common areas
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to housekeeping needs
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Adhere to hotel policies and safety procedures at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or similar cleaning roles preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with guests
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper chemical handling procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning of assigned areas
