Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the proper functioning of our facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all residents and staff.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and PTAC.
- Conduct repairs on various equipment and systems as needed.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations within the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including understanding wiring diagrams and safety protocols.
- Experience in residential painting is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Skills in welding are a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
