Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment with precision and care.
- Sort linens, garments, and other items according to type, color, and cleaning requirements.
- Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or specialty fabrics when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
- Ensure all items are properly folded, pressed, and stored in designated areas for easy access.
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques, including washing, drying, stain removal, and dry cleaning processes.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as needed.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to laundry operations.
