Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks, to ensure timely and thorough service delivery
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures aligned with hospitality industry best practices
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
- Oversee janitorial operations for both guest-facing spaces and back-of-house areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects, event setups, or deep-cleaning initiatives
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety protocols
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping promptly with professionalism and courtesy
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry or similar environment
- Extensive janitorial and custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams, training staff, and fostering a positive work environment
- Background in hotel or hospitality settings preferred; experience with laundry operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations related to custodial work
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and guest interaction
