What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Associate - All Locations position at WOODSON YMCA INC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Member Service Associates are responsible for creating a welcoming experience for all members and guests in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. This is done by efficiently and effectively selling memberships and program registrations, monitoring building access, answering questions and supporting the members. Member Service Associates work as a team with other staff to ensure each member’s experience is the best that it can be.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y, on the phone, and by email.
2. Must be proficient in the use of DAXKO (training provided), the YMCA website, and the Y360 APP in the areas of locating information, membership sales, and program registration.
3. Must have a strong knowledge of all membership types, programs, policies and processes.
4. Effectively manage all incoming telephone calls, which includes proper greetings, routing and paging.
5. Safeguard the Welcome Center desks, cash drawer and safe at all times. Accurately account for all monies received during shift and deposit in safe.
6. Ability to work as part of a team, to create a welcoming and supportive environment for members and staff.
7. Help to maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized Welcome Center area.
8. Working knowledge of the facility to provide clear and accurate guidance to members.
9. Be familiar with building safety and emergency procedures, our area, and offerings at the other branch.
10. Maintains a professional and welcoming appearance by following YMCA dress code standards.
11. Must attend mandatory staff meetings.
12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Director.

1. Exceptional communication, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as basic technology skills.
2. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic
segments of the community.

Salary : $13 - $14
