Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Qualified/School Age Teacher to join our School Age Staff team! Leading a class of students ages 5-12 through the school year in our after school program and fun summer Big Kids Club Summer Camp.
The summer job position includes creating weekly themes including art, science, drama, music, sports and escorting students on weekly field trips such as swimming at the Finley Center and local parks. The school year position can be part time or full time if preschool qualified and can be a flexible choice depending on preference. These can also be split into 2 separate jobs depending on the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Create and follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum ages 5-12
• Assist and support children with developing social and emotional skills
• Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• Support learning through fun summer activities.

Qualifications

• 12 Units of Early Childhood Education or Associate Degree, Credential etc.
• Experience working in Early Childhood Education
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Problem-solving and mediation skills
