What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Toddler Room Teacher position at Woodside School Inc?
We are currently accepting applicants for a full-time Lead teacher in our Toddler room.
Woodside School is a NAEYC accredited, private, non-profit 501 © (3) childcare center dedicated to providing quality, developmentally appropriate, individualized early learning and care to the greater Concord community.
Applicants must be Lead teacher qualified through the state of NH in order to be considered for this position. Experience in a childcare setting also preferred.
Job Description:
- Plan and implement curriculum for a mixed age group of 18-36 months old, adapting classroom activities, teaching approach, and materials to meet the needs of each child.
- Respond to the interests and needs of individual children, interact playfully with children while encouraging natural exploration and curiosity, use positive child guidance techniques and strategies.
- Communicate regularly with families
- Use child observation notes as a tool for planning and implementing curriculum
- Attend monthly planning and staff meetings
- Assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom
- Candidates must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults and work well with others in a team environment.
