Responsibilities:
The Hygienist will utilize their experience and expertise to ensure a high level of patient care. The Lead
Hygienist will mentor and coach members of the hygiene team in an effort for continuous process
improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque,
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, evaluating gum
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, following established protocols for patient safety.
- Complete oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records.
- Monitor and maintain dental equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and infection
- Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment during
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and oral health through continuing
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in relevant area of study / Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- State license required
- Certification in local anesthesia administration (if required by practice)
- CPR certification
