Job Summary
The InSPIRE Program Instructor oversees the daily operations of a structured day program for individuals with acquired brain injuries. This role plans and facilitates engaging recreational, creative arts, and skill-building activities that promote independence, social integration, and community reintegration while ensuring high-quality, compliant services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead inclusive group activities that support social, cognitive, sensory, and motor skill development
- Utilize rehabilitation strategies and task analysis to maximize member participation and success
- Implement adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and assistive technology as needed
- Monitor and document member participation and progress
- Coordinate cultural, educational, athletic, and therapeutic activities and community partnerships
- Provide life skills training and support aligned with individualized rehabilitation plans
- Supervise and support Life Skill Trainers and 1:1 Personal Care Aides
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with the transdisciplinary rehab team and participate in meetings and trainings
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with people with disabilities required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation/Art/Music Therapy or related Human Services field preferred
