Service Writer/Advisor

Job description

We are looking for a Service Writer to join our team. Service Writer duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, communicating with our technicians & maintaining our Service Schedule. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. Communication is vital to this position & we are looking for someone who excels in this area. To be successful as a Service Writer here at Woods Indian Motorcycle, you will need to be goal-driven & be able to follow our process & procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction on our Service Drive
• Assess customers’ needs and communicate them effectively
• Follow and achieve department’s Service goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• “Go the extra mile”
• Maintain a presentable Service counter
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Comply with Service Department policies & procedures

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Service Writer
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Basic Math skills
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• High school degree

The dealership is open Tuesday-Saturday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. This is a full-time position and employees are expected to arrive 15-30 minutes early (based on what's on the schedule for the day), and stay until the last customer is taken care of (this means that occasionally, you might have to stay late). One hour lunch breaks are offered during the weekdays, and on most weekends we provide lunch for the entire staff. Most employees work a few hours of overtime (paid) during each work week.

Attention to detail is a key aspect of this position. Small mistakes can cause big problems, and we try to avoid those at all costs. Computer and typing skills are also a key requirement of this position.
