General Technician - Manufacturing

Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with an international paper and cardboard manufacturing & packaging company that is continuing to expand its U.S. operations. They are now seeking a General Technician to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically minded professional who enjoys working with machinery, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring production lines operate safely and efficiently.

What do you do?

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize production downtime
• Support machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers on production lines
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and maintenance documentation
• Work closely with production teams to quickly resolve operational issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the facility
• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices

What do you need?

• High school diploma or technical training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
• 1–3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment
