Position Purpose: The Food & Beverage Intern will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of the country club’s Food & Beverage department. The intern will assist with dining service, banquets and events, member relations, food and beverage preparation, and overall restaurant operations while learning the standards of hospitality and service expected in a private club environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and provide attentive, professional service to club members and guests.
- Assist with table setup, clearing, resetting, and maintaining dining areas.
- Support banquet and event operations, including weddings, meetings, tournaments, and private functions.
- Assist with food and beverage preparation and presentation as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation standards in service areas.
- Learn and follow food safety, beverage service, and club operating procedures.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and organization of food, beverages, and service supplies.
- Observe and learn proper guest-service techniques and private-club hospitality standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Perform other duties related to Food & Beverage operations as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a Montgomery County Public Schools high school internship program or a similar educational internship program.
- Interest in hospitality, food and beverage operations, customer service, or club management.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively with members, guests, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet internship program requirements.
- Prior customer service, hospitality, or food and beverage experience is helpful but not required.
