Job Overview
We are seeking an upbeat, dedicated and organized Dental Assistant to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be one of the first points of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various dental assisting tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and enhancing patient experiences. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the Dentist and other team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and help manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient visits.
- Assist the dentist in providing a comprehensive range of dental care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using Dentrix dental software.
- Assist in managing patient flow within the clinic to ensure timely service delivery.
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments efficiently.
- Provide information regarding dental procedures, treatments, and insurance coverage to patients.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and maintain a clean and organized front and back office
- Communicate discretely with other team members regarding patient needs, including those requiring special attention in various areas .
- Manage phone calls, emails, and other communications professionally.
Desired Skills
- Proficient in using dental software systems like Dentrix for scheduling and record management.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices, dental anatomy, and procedures related to the practice of dentistry.
- Familiarity with medical records management and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service to create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
