What you will do as a Quality & Compliance Coordinator:

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to conduct regular visits to facilities to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes, systems, policies and procedures and to monitor facility compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures related to the provision of resident health, personal care services, medication management and infection prevention/control.  
  • Analyzes and assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of the company's processes, systems, policies, procedures and personnel training programs related to resident health, personal care services, medication management and infection prevention/control. Makes recommendations for improvement. 
  • Coordinates resident care and safety aspects of regulatory and accreditation continuous readiness program, including clinical consultation services within communities across the state. Performs community RN responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels within communities. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.  
  • Prepares, analyzes, and reports on data collected from a variety of sources and develops communication and educational materials necessary to maintain compliant programs. Develops detailed quality and compliance reports, and performance improvement strategies to provide best-in-class resident care. 
  • Provides consultation to Woodlands Senior Living Resident Assessment Service Plan Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely coding and reporting. Reviews and monitors workflow, tools, and quality metrics in coordination with leadership and care team to monitor trends and validate coding accuracy and data quality to achieve goals and outcomes. Coordinates compliance with Minimum Data Set (MDS) tool to ensure a comprehensive care plan is devised to collect/report data and achieve maximum case mix and payor reimbursements. Reports any deficiencies to Executive Director/Administrator or the COO.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • An active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Maine and be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures is required.
  • 5 years of clinical experience and 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency utilizing electronic systems to analyze data and prepare executive reports.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • A current valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company may be required.
  • Must complete a criminal history record check to the satisfaction of the company.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
