Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments and develop personalized exercise programs for clients
- Monitor and track clients' progress and adjust programs as needed
- Provide education and guidance on exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle habits
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and research to continuously improve the services offered
- Communicate with providers in a professional manner patient progress or any new issues that arise during treatment
- Work closely with medical staff to ensure complete patient care is established and maintained
- Highly organized and great attention to detail administratively as well as with patient care
- Assist providers with daily patient notes
- Have a basic understanding of the neurological connection between the spine and brain and how physical medicine can stimulate a physiological change in the body
- Be teachable and willing to learn and adapt to changes quickly
- Willingness to think outside the box and ask questions about patient care and how to improve patient results
- A desire to help others and be invested in the outcome of their treatment while developing patient relationships that follow the mission and vision of the clinic
- Be an asset, team player and integral part of an exceptional team of providers and staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
- Certification as an exercise physiologist from a nationally recognized organization (e.g. ACSM, NASM)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical or fitness setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification a plus
- Strong, independent judgement
- High level of understanding of human anatomy and functions
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and healthcare staff
