Produce Clerk are responsible for the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise while giving exceptional customer service.
Woodlands Market is a leader in gourmet retailing, service and innovation in the grocery industry. We are a flourishing Marin County-based employer who believes in supporting our community in many ways. One of these ways is to employ talented individuals from within our communities and surrounding areas. We currently have a store and cafe in Kentfield as well stores in Tiburon and San Francisco. We engage approximately 330 individuals on staff, many of whom have come to us with an in-depth knowledge of the specialty food industry. These members of our extended Woodlands family and their commitment to community, food, service and to each other are what set us apart from other grocery stores.

Benefits Of Working At Woodlands Market Include
Produce Clerk are responsible for the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise while giving exceptional customer service.
- Warm welcome and greeting to all customers
- Sampling products to customers and employees, giving relevant product information such as possible recipe ideas, where the product was grown, best time to eat the product, seasonality of specific products etc...
- Help customers locate products in produce as well as the rest of the store
- Picking the fruit at the level of ripeness based on customer consumption timing
- Rotating to maximize product freshness/quality and minimize waste
- Stock to ensure abundance in all areas
- Maintaining a clean, inviting and safe department
- Effective customer service (service orientation etc).
- In-depth knowledge of Produce.
- Able to prioritize work and handle multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Repeated lifting, bending, twisting.
