Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, has openings for Cashiers / Customer Service Superstars! If you are fast, friendly, accurate and reliable this is the perfect position for you!
Cashiers are responsible for accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions at registers. Cashier's tills must balance and all needed slips must be present. Cashiers are encouraged to build relationships and converse with guests while keeping lines moving. In order to give great service, you must know what you are ringing up, which means that you must know or learn products quickly to be a Woodlands cashier.

We are a flourishing Marin County-based employer who believes in supporting our community in many ways. One of these ways is to employ talented individuals from within our communities and surrounding areas. We currently operate grocery stores in Kentfield, Tiburon and San Francisco. We also operate a Pet Shop in San Francisco as well as an off-site kitchen in San Rafael. We engage approximately 330 individuals on staff, many of whom have come to us with an in-depth knowledge of the specialty food industry. These members of our extended Woodlands family and their commitment to community, food, service and to each other are what set us apart from other grocery stores.

Requirements
- Effective customer service (service orientation etc).
- In-depth knowledge of store products.
- Able to prioritize work and handle multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
- Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
- Ability to memorize codes such as Produce merchandise numbers.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Repeated lifting, bending, twisting, keypunch entry.
