What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery and Coffee Service Clerk position at WOODLANDS MARKET?
The Bakery and Coffee Service Clerk is primarily responsible for providing excellent beverages and baked goods to customers with a friendly service demeanor. This position may be scheduled in coffee bar and/or bakery counter. Regardless of schedule, this position is expected to be flexible, covering both coffee bar and bakery service areas during shifts based on customer flow.
- Provide customer service for the bakery case including answering questions, selecting products, packaging and handing to the customer with a smile.
- Prepare coffee bar beverages per customer order including espresso, coffee, steamed milk, ice drinks, shakes, smoothies etc.
- Maintain bakery case and coffee bar for product quality, expiration dates, and visual esthetics.
- Maintain products in vicinity of case such as bread, cookies and other baked goods. Products should be stocked, faced, clean, and fresh at all times.
- May perform some basic bakery duties including baking off cookies, bread, cutting cakes, writing names on cakes, etc…
Maintaining an effective - positive, amicable, upbeat and "smile first"- - customer service orientation. - Observe sanitation protocols.
- Observe all opening and closing procedures including checking with department manager at beginning and end of shift.
- Perform cash register functions including, receiving cash and making change, credit card processing and balancing register drawers.
