Woodlands is looking to hire a construction professional to join our team. Woodlands is a non profit organization, dedicated to serving our community through the development of affordable quality housing, and other community assets. The ideal applicant will be interested in applying their skills in the construction trades to better our communities.
As a member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to residential construction, operating and maintaining various tools and equipment, and following directions from supervisors and other skilled crew members. Prerequisites for employment include being physically fit, dependable, and a hard worker. Employees must be punctual and reliable and have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Jobsites are typically located in Randolph, Barbour, and Tucker Counties.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Pay and benefits: Pay is based on experience and background, starting at $15/hr. Benefits include health insurance, PTO and a matching 401(k) savings plan.
Duties:
- Operate and care for tools and equipment.
- Work as a team, assisting other crew members as needed.
- Follow worksite safety protocols, including maintaining a clean site.
- Load and unload construction materials.
- Follow directions.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift more than 80lbs
- Capable of working from ladders
Skills:
Applicants will be assessed based on their experience in the following trades:
- Rough Carpentry
- Finish Carpentry
- Concrete
- Plumbing
- Painting
- Exterior Finish Work
Additional experience in the following trades will also be considered:
- Drywall
- Roofing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Masonry
