Woodland Star Charter: A Public Waldorf School is accepting applications for a part time Speech and Language Pathologist (30 hours per week) for the 2026-2027 School Year. We are seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist that works well with K-8 students and can create a safe, conducive learning environment. We are a student centered school and hope to find a person that has great communication skills with students, coworkers, administration and parents; and also collaborates well with teachers and school staff. Our ideal candidate is mindful of IDEA guidelines, schedules, compliance, and accountability regulations; and demonstrates a commitment to the speech-lanaguge profession through continued professional development. Essential Duties and Accountabilities -Screen students referred for speech or language concerns -Schedules service times for the purpose of providing effective services for students -Teaches and instructs students for the purpose of ensuring students success -Conducts evaluations of students who are suspected of having speech, voice fluency, or langauge delays or disorders -Prepared evaluation reports in alignment with required state and district timelines -Participates and works cooperatively as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team by documenting needs, creating goals, and defining service for students eligible for school-based speech and language services as a primary or related field. -Prepare progress reports aligned with data tracking logs on quarterly basis -Facilitates individual and/or group therapy activities to target IEP goals, using curriculum-based material and content when appropriate -Consults with the IEP team regarding accommodations, student needs, instructional strategies, and necessary equipment or support for eligible students -Develops IEPs for purpose of meeting the individual needs of each student
Requirements / Qualifications
Active license from Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and active membership in ASHA Required to pass criminal history background check Must posses strong communication and organizational skills Basic computer software skills
