Responsibilities

• Teach subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and other core areas while integrating technology into the classroom.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students as needed, particularly for those requiring early intervention or special education services.
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal growth, fostering a love for learning.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices in education administration.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Utilize library services effectively to enhance learning opportunities for students.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; certification in elementary education is preferred.
• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience.
• Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
• Ability to work effectively with children with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong proofreading abilities are essential.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to enhance the educational experience.
