People move houses every day of the year, and every one of those moves needs someone dependable behind the wheel and in charge on-site. That's this role: you drive a non-CDL straight truck, run the crew at each stop, and make sure the customer's belongings — and their day — end up in good shape.
What the job looks like day to day:
- Drive a straight truck (no CDL needed) between jobs, safely and on schedule
- Load and unload everything from small boxes to oversized or specialty items with care
- Take the lead on-site — organize the crew, keep the job moving, solve problems as they come up
- Set the tone for customer service so people trust you with their stuff
- Stay in clear communication with the customer and your crew from start to finish
What you'll need:
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to clear a background check and drug screening
- Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs or more unassisted
- Solid communication skills — you'll be talking with customers and directing a crew
- A reliable way to get to and from our West Hartford, CT facility
