Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our skilled nursing facility in Elkhart, IN.

The Maintenance Assistant performs a variety of maintenance, light cleaning, and organizational duties to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift Available

• Part-Time – Approximately 25 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, and windows, and removing trash

• Move furniture as needed to complete assignments

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when working in resident care areas

• Assist with terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death

• Follow maintenance schedules and supervisor instructions in accordance with facility policies

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, and mechanical work

• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and walkways through cutting, trimming, sweeping, and general upkeep

• Replace burned-out light bulbs, including exit and overhead lighting

• Support the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure proper operation of equipment and systems

• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including weekends and holidays

• Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, cleaning, or related fields preferred

• Familiarity with cleaning materials, tools, and maintenance equipment
