Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing athlete development, team strategy, and competition preparation for Woodland High Schools wrestling program. The coach plans and conducts practices, teaches wrestling techniques and conditioning, sets lineups, and guides athletes in sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork. They coordinate competitions, manage assistant coaches, ensure compliance with school and athletic association rules, and foster a positive, competitive team culture focused on both athletic and personal growth.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prior wrestling coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred, though qualified candidates with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements: -Completed EdJoin Application REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COACHES (once selected): - NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & the CA State Component - Concussion Certificate - Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate - Valid CPR Certificate - Valid First Aid Certificate - Heat Acclimatization Certificate - TB test - Guidelines for the Workplace & Youth Sports Protocol & Recommendations (link will be provided) - Mandated Reporter (Child Abuse Certificate) - Fingerprint clearance (once hired, the applicant will receive an appointment from Human Resources for the fingerprint process)
