What is Companion Care?
Companion Care is an "add-on" service offered to our Independent Living residents that could benefit from additional support. Residents enrolled in the Companion Care program elect to have a companion assist them for assigned times throughout the week. Assistance could look like reminding the resident to take their medications, going with a resident to an activity, or helping them do their laundry. Overall, the goal of Companion Care is to promote independence while offering support to those that need it.
What You'll Do
Companion Care Aides have a flexible schedule deemed by the needs of the residents enrolled in the program.

What You'll Do
- Assist residents with non-medical care, medication or activity reminders, and one-on-one companionship.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and mobility by prioritizing their well-being and ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring every resident that uses the service gets their items back cleaned and neatly folded.
Companion Care Aides have a flexible schedule deemed by the needs of the residents enrolled in the program.
Job Requirements
- Maintains the community's mission and vision statement.
- Understands and follows the resident's service plan.
- Has good communication skills.
- Maintains confidentiality with resident and fellow employee's information.
- Capable of washing, drying, folding, and returning laundry to the correct resident.
- Notifies management of any changes in resident's condition.
- Reliable and consistent in following work schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or any other management staff.
