Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Emergency Department nurse provides immediate care to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries, rapidly assessing their conditions and initiating life-saving interventions. They work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients, administer medications, and prepare them for further treatment or admission.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Current California RN license
- One (1) year of experience as an Emergency Department RN within the last five (5) years. (exception - when staffing is able to accommodate training management will consider RNs with less experience).
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (or within 3 months of hire)
- PALS certification (or within 3 months of hire)
- Must obtain NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire
