POSITION: Part-Time Maintenance/Porter
REPORTS TO: Community Director
The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of Part-Time Maintenance/Porter. The following information is considered general and it should be noted that responsibilities and duties may not be specifically addressed.

Job Description:
This position will be responsible for providing maintenance and porter duties as directed by the Community Director, including, but not limited to: changing air filters, light bulbs, appliance repairs, grounds cleaning, light plumbing, light electrical, sheetrock repair and painting among other things. Every task should be completed professionally while fostering a strong sense of connection within the community. Below are general key responsibilities and qualifications, as well as a timeline for expected duties.
General Responsibilities & Guidelines:
· Provide timely feedback to the Community Director and complete tasks as assigned
· Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the maintenance program
· Keep records and detailed log of maintenance requests and repairs
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and residents
· Respond timely to emergency calls during off hours
· Must be punctual and work assigned hours (i.e., arrive on time; leave on time)
Schedule
Flexible schedule of 25-30 hours per week, weekends and/or holidays in an emergency
Qualifications
The position requires maintenance experience and expertise in light repair services. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., perform physical tasks as required and must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
Working Environment
Indoors and outdoors - all conditions.
Intellectual Capacity
HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to evaluate appropriate courses of action. Must effectively convey recommendations and solutions to a variety of maintenance items.
