Duties
- Prepare and assemble baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met consistently
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling bakery items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Restock shelves, display cases, and baking supplies to keep the bakery inviting and well-organized
- Assist with food handling, cashiering, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations as needed in a quick service or fast food environment
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy while providing excellent cashiering experiences
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales upselling
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights regularly
