Drafting & Design Professional

Woodhollow Energy Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting & Design Professional to join our infrastructure development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing, maintaining, and managing high-quality technical documentation for our Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and related energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Technical Drafting (EV/BESS Focus): Produce accurate 2D and 3D design drawings, including site plans, foundation plans, electrical schematics, and mechanical layouts for EV charging facilities and battery storage systems.
• Charging Station Documentation: Develop detailed plans for EV charger placement, cable routing, power distribution, and ADA compliance within station layouts.
• BESS Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) enclosures, cooling systems, and electrical interconnection diagrams.
• Standards and Compliance: Ensure all design documentation strictly adheres to industry standards (e.g., ANSI/ASME Y14.5, NEC, IEEE) and internal company quality control processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and electrical engineers to translate conceptual designs and field mark-ups into finalized, constructible drawings.
• Data Management: Manage and maintain the drawing revision control system (PDM/PLM), ensuring the latest documentation is accessible to all stakeholders.
• As-Built Documentation: Generate precise "as-built" documentation post-construction, incorporating field changes and red-line markups accurately.
• BOM Generation: Assist in extracting Bill of Materials (BOM) data from technical drawings to support procurement and cost estimation processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical drafting and design, with significant exposure to EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy, battery storage (BESS), or electrical/civil infrastructure sectors.
• Software Proficiency (Expert Level): Expert proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting. Strong experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site, grading, and utility layout is highly desirable.
• Ability work in a team unit with high level of collaboration across a vertically integrated development company
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry-specific symbology (electrical one-lines, schematics). Familiarity with battery enclosure design elements is a strong plus.
• Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Drafting, Design Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage multiple document sets simultaneously and maintain extreme precision in all technical outputs.
• Electrical wiring diagrams and code experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
