Starting Salary: $17.00
Employment Type: Hourly FT
Work Environment: Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Job Summary:
This position involves grading material to customer specifications, stacking material into a completed unit, and occasionally feeding material into the moulder.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Grade product to meet quality specifications
- Stack and bundle moulding off the production line
- Inspect moulding for quality defects
- Keep accurate piece counts
- Perform transactions on a computer
- Perform additional tasks during downtime like cutting stickers and heads, housekeeping, or supporting other machine centers.
- Assist in training of new employees
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to learn and understand grades and quality.
- High level attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Move equipment weighing up to 200 pounds that are either on wheels or with the aid of levers. The employee must frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
