The Cash Balancing POD Department Lead is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support for deposit operations bookkeeping with a primary focus on cash balancing. Assists Department Manager with schedule planning and staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as a senior level resource for team members by assisting with questions and providing guidance on issue resolution in a professional manner.
Exercises independent judgement while relying on job knowledge and skills when assisting team members; consults with department manager when required.
Assists with schedule planning and staffing requirements to ensure adequate support coverage.
Identifies and corrects out of balance transactions on cash reconciliation sheets.
Assists branches in locating and correcting outages.
Competencies Required
Proficiency with 10 key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access), and the ability to quickly learn and navigate banking software applications and systems.
Excellent organizational and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and met deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
Self-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
Ability to work flexible hours; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
Basic accounting knowledge including account reconciliation.
Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
3 or more years of banking or financial services operations experience
Should include a minimum of 2 years as a Cash Balance POD Adjustment Clerk.
Formal Education & Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
