Woodfords' Family Services is looking for a fun, engaging, and compassionate educator to join our Early Childhood Services (ECS) as Lead Teacher! This is a full-time (40 hours) position located at our ECS & Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) program in Westbrook, ME!
Position Summary
Woodfords’ Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) programs provide early intervention supports and services to students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic, treatment-focused environment. The Lead Teacher plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations and overall functioning of the classroom, leading a collaborative team dedicated to student success. This position supports each child’s growth by promoting progress toward cognitive, social, and emotional development goals.
Opportunity Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
- $52,000 - $60,000 per year
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, in special education, early childhood or a related field. Educational Technician III eligible
- A minimum of a conditional or full K-8 282 Certification; full K-8 282 certification preferred, from the Maine Department of Education; as well as Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience and the desire to work with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Must have a valid driver's license
