Field Supervisor, School-Based Services

Position Summary

The Field Supervisor for School-Based Services plays a vital role in supporting Behavioral Health Professionals in public school settings throughout Southern Maine. This position provides field-based guidance, supervision, and operational support to direct care staff while helping ensure compliance, strong documentation practices, and quality service delivery. The Field Supervisor also assists Behavior Analysts with consumer documentation and supports both Section 28 Specialized and Section 28 Regular service delivery.

This is a dynamic role for a strong communicator and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to supporting children, school teams, and direct care staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) working in area public schools.
• Support BCBAs with Section 28 Specialized cases and supervise employees who oversee Section 28 Regular cases.
• Conduct on-site observation and supervision with assigned direct care staff at least once per month, as applicable, in accordance with Section 28 regulations.
• Assist BHPs with implementation of goals and objectives identified in each child’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
• Complete all reports, required paperwork, and service documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with documentation in the state’s third-party electronic service authorization system.
• Provide coverage for BHP absences during school hours when needed.
• Oversee service delivery for an assigned caseload as determined by the Program Director.
• Meet regularly with the Director of School-Based Services, Southern Maine for supervision and attend staff meetings, program meetings, and group work sessions as scheduled.

Opportunity Details

• Full-time, salaried professional position
• $47,000 - $51,000 salary range plus performance incentives, depending on education and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field required
• At least two years of related experience required
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and access to an insured, reliable vehicle required
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills required
• Knowledge of typical and atypical child development, developmental disabilities and delays, and family systems required
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, families, school staff, and other service providers required
• Ability to interact safely with individuals who may not always be able to care for themselves required
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize workloads, and respond effectively in crisis situations required
