WCM Industries, Inc. is looking for a Controller with proven experience overseeing accounting operations.
The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting & analysis, accounting operations, internal controls & compliance, budgeting & forecasting, and audit & tax coordination. This is a key position and will manage the finance & accounting team.
This is a full-time, on-site, role based in the Greater Colorado Springs area.
Base compensation: $120,000 – $145,000.00/year depending on experience, plus competitive bonus
Responsibilities
- Supervising the production and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Managing daily accounting functions including the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Working with the Executive team to help guide financial decision making.
- Working with division Purchasing Managers to optimize Inventory Management.
- Helping to manage banking relationship.
- Implementing policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Coordinating the budget process and providing forecasting to guide financial goals.
- Leading external audits and managing tax compliance.
- Managing the finance & accounting team.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting.
- Assisting employees with retirement plan benefits and working directing with Plan TPA.
- Reports to CFO and Executive Team.
Qualifications
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- 2 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- High integrity and ability to manage confidential information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
