Woodford Bros., Inc. is hiring Field Service Technicians to perform inspections, maintenance, and service on residential systems we’ve installed. This is a customer-facing role focused on solving problems and maintaining systems, with the opportunity to earn additional income through low-pressure, needs-based recommendations.
Pay & Compensation
- $47,000 – $60,000 annually
- $20/hour base (after training) commission
- Commission typically 7–11% on additional work identified during service visits
- Paid training provided
Schedule
- Start time between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM
- Typical end time around 4:00 PM
- Days can run slightly shorter or longer depending on jobs
- Occasional weekends (not standard)
- No seasonal layoffs – steady, year-round work
What You’ll Do
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and service on installed systems
- Diagnose issues and complete minor repairs
- Identify problems and recommend additional solutions when needed
- Communicate clearly with homeowners and provide a strong customer experience
- Document work performed and maintain service records
Work Environment
- Residential job sites across Central NY, North Country, Southern Tier, and Capital Region
- Work includes basements, crawlspaces, and other confined areas
- Some jobs can be dirty and physically demanding
- Mix of independent work and team support

- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
