PM Line Cook – $22–$26/hr | PTO Health Insurance
Wooden City is hiring a PM Line Cook to join our busy, professional kitchen in downtown Birmingham.
We’re a team-focused restaurant built on quality, consistency, and respect, led by hands-on chefs. Our kitchen is consistently busy and fast-paced, but organized and steady, with strong systems and clear standards. This role is a good fit for cooks who take pride in their work, care about their teammates, enjoy being challenged during service, and are looking for reliable growth.
This is not a burnout kitchen, but it is a demanding role. We support each other, move with purpose, and expect people to show up ready to work and learn.
What the Job Looks Like
- Working clean, organized, and efficient on a busy PM service line
- Prepping with intention and setting yourself up for success
- Cooking and plating consistently with attention to detail
- Following established systems that help service run smoothly
- Communicating clearly and working closely with teammates and leadership during service

- Line cook experience in high-volume, upscale casual, or fine-dining kitchens
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay focused during busy services
- Someone who enjoys being busy and challenged
- Team-first mentality, professionalism, and reliability
